Hi, I'm Charlie Gonzales, growing up on the American River and
surrounding waters for over thirty years has taught me what each
season has to offer for the beginning and experienced fly
fisherman. And now I am excited that I will have the opportunity
to pass on the knowledge that I have gained in that time. I can
guarantee that every time we are on the water, you will come
away with a larger perspective on the "hows" and 'whys" of
whatever species that you are after, and that you will have a
great time while doing so. A day on the water typically starts at day break and lasts
for about ten hours, but evening trips can be arranged also. I will provide a great lunch of your choice, drinks, snacks,
some flies and lots of instruction. We will be fishing from my
16 foot Hyde low profile drift boat on the American, Yuba, and
Feather Rivers for striped bass, trout, steelhead and
shad. Trips for O'Neill Forebay top water striped bass and
largemouth bass are also available. A full day of fishing is only $225.00 for a single angler,
and only $325.00 for two on all the above rivers. Trips to

Steve fishes out of a 20’ North River. The boat is wide and stable and has a walk-through windshield. Equipped with plenty of horsepower to get to fishing spots quickly and comfortably, it also has GPS mapping, sonar, Hummingbird side-scanning, and a Minn Kota auto pilot electronic trolling motor. The North River has a Yamaha 9.9 auxiliary motor and a full top for the wet days. You can also enjoy a heater on cold, winter days.
