Since the delta season began this past October I haven't had much time to tie flies. I try to get most of that done a month or so before I head up to Bethel Island. I don't like to tie flies in my nice, well-kept trailer. The attached photo shows why. I'm the mad fly tier when it comes to tying and for some reason I just can't seem to put things away or clean up after myself. Materials and hooks just keep piling up on the desk top, on shelves and on the floor. My wife says it looks like an insane person inhabits my office/tying room. Women just don't understand...
But I do manage to produce some nice flies - once I can find what materials I'm looking for.
What's your tying area look like? I hope I'm not the only one whose a total slob when it comes to fly tying.
