Large mouth bass are not native to the delta either they are huge predators of other smaller fish and their numbers and size have exploded in the last 10-15 years. Any efforts targeting stripers by the so-called sustainable delta coalition should target LMB also and then they would have a lot more people against them as well as the big bucks bass tournement organizations. I don't think LMB have any more to do with the plumeting numbers of any of the endangered species than stripers (not much) but just as a tactic it might be wise to bring up the issue of LMB predation too.
