I can believe it. If the pike at Lake Davis are considered invasive, then so too are the striped bass. Striped bass may have coexisted in the Delta for a long time, but there is no question that they are a predatory fish and they eat salmon smolts. So when it comes down to the bitter end, salmon or striped bass, the latter goes (if at all possible).

Honestly, striped bass are damn near impossible to get rid of once they are in the system. We haven't been able to keep them out of the reservoirs in SoCal. So you're probably safe as they can't get rid of them.
