| LL Bean makes an inexpensive solid plastic basket for about $25.00. It's basically a knock off of the Orvis solid basket.Drill a half dozen half inch holes in the bottom and you are ready to go. You can mess around making your own or pay more for another kind but in the end the Bean Basket is the way to go for a surf basket, it's a good value. Take into consideration that in the surf the bottom of your basket has to have a firm bottom that won't allow upsplash from waves to tangle you up. Hope you have a good time in the surf LEW Riffle |
