I'm just learning to surf fish and need some advice. I've got a stripping basket, similar to a shopping basket, with a flat bottom and lots of small holes for drainage. (They work!) It holds the line fine, but I find I get a lot of tangles in the running line.
Are fingers or cones the answer? Which is best? Where do I find the material, and how do I add them?
Also- what are some favored products to clean/ coat running line for longer casts?
