|A friend caught a bone fish which I was releasing and he took a photo of the fish and my gloved hands. (I invariably wear gloves on the flats because I have tired of supporting my local dermatologist.) It was published on social media and another friend and member of the BTT cautioned me against wearing gloves when releasing bone fish because of excessive slime removal. I have never thought about how I could preserve bone fish slime, but it is always there after release, gloved or not gloved. |
These gloves have a rubber sort of palm rather than leather or cloth. What do you think?
