I have been using my I Pilot now for 6 years. I currently have something over 1,500 hours on it. My bro in law converted his VERY well used Minn Kota to I Pilot about 5 years ago. It would be hard to guess how many hours he has on his. We both have 70 pound thrust which has provided all the power that is needed here in the Delta. Neither one of has had any thing come up until this year. The distance his remote worked became less than was 2 feet. And for me, the ability to hold a heading/GPS just went away. These two problems required the "heads" to be replaced. Both of the units have worked flawlessly since the work was done. In my opinion the I Pilot has vastly improved my ability to catch fish. Yep...they do not give them away. However, after using the I Pilot for a long time, I would never think of not fishing without it.
