What a great Delta fishin' week! Larry has finished the grape crush season. So, I again have my brother in law to approach Stripers as a team effort. Wednesday on my G3 we were able to get 25 Stripers boated. The largest was a little over 5 pounds. Larry shook off the rust in short time. Thursday solo. 36 Stripers, 9 LMBs, 3 Sac Pike. The largest Striper was just under 6 pounds. 19 legal. During the afternoon, I came around a corner to find Bill Siler hooked up to a 5 pounder. Then a couple of cast later... BAM.. he was off to the races again. This Striper ripped line off Bill's reel like there was not tomorrow. Very fun to watch!! Bill boated this great fighter and before releasing it reported that the scale said 11 pounds.. Very well done Bill! Today, Larry had time to get his boat tuned up, so we hit the water in his Whaler at about 6:30. The incoming tide took a while to start so we stayed "local". As the water started moving in, the catchin' started to speed up. With pre fishin' I did Thursday we mostly, went to the areas that produced for me on Thursday. 65 fish to the boat. 5 or 6 were LMBs. Well over 50% were legal. Many were 4 to 5 pounders. The largest was 6 pounds. We had 8 double hook ups. This week all of the fish were caught Mid Delta..
