A normally right handed caster is throwing a counter clockwise twist into rod tip at the launch, and the expectation is that twist will propagate down the line while it is in the air (if you cast all that's out), and flip the fly over once.
I find that it helps me overall, if I occasionally do a back-handed cast instead of a regular one, and that throws a line twist the opposite way.
