Doc ----I, and many others experienced line twist while fishing for Peacock bass. All the fixes while fishing were temporary until we figured out to strip out only the amount of line we could shoot. If at the end of your cast, you felt the tug you were twist free. In effect, the tug was stretching your line after each cast. If you left line in your basket, the line twist accumulated to a point where you had a coil. If you watch good spey casters, they will always cast all the line they have out and you will notice that "tug" at the end of their cast.
