Totally agree on the 24V 80#.
I have a 80# Ulterra Riptide that I use on my 16ft aluminum boat, it is not only a matter of battery life but also about the reaction time of your boat to the trolling motor, 24V is way more powerful and your boat will become more maneuverable, quicker with 24V.
Also when you have the spotlock ipilot function it will work better with wind and tides with the 24V. you will see that the 12V will not even hold you in place on spotlock with a 12V on a windy day. the Crestliners are pretty wide boats too
