The amount of water you need to cover on your own is immense. It may not be what you want to hear but if you really want to catch bonefish I would hire a guide for a day and drastically reduce your learning curve while eliminating miles of unproductive water especially given the complexity of tides and wind. Trust me, you could spend the entire week walking around the place and blank..........

I have fished with the following guides and they are all excellent:

Solomon Murphy - I believe still lives in the Stafford Creek area just north of you.

Keith Russell and Elias Griffin - fished with them in March, and though they are based further north in Lowe Sound, may be able to guide you.

They all have excellent flats skiffs and are wonderful people.
