|Thanks Scott. That's very interesting. My area of interest is the San Francisco Bay Area public shores which falls under the McAteer-Petris Act and it's administering agency, the BCDC. This law also has some sort of evidentiary requirement for permission to limit hours and activities on public shore easements. I'm also looking into that issue as well. Would be interesting if some of these curfews/closed hours could be limited to certain prohibit some activities like camping, loitering, drinking or something while allowing others like jogging, walking, fishing, or even just access to the water. Once you're below mean high tide you're good, it's getting there that's the problem. |
