Rating fly rods is one of the most subjective things there is in fly-fishing. One angler's dream stick is another's broom stick or worse. I think most of today's rods are profoundly better than anything we fished with a decade or more ago. I like the Axiom II rods - at least the 8 and the 6 but I haven't fished them with a floating line yet; but I'm confident that since they handle heavy sinking lines and big flies with ease, casting a WF floater with a bonefish fly would an easy task for the A-II rods. That said, you really need to try to test drive one so you can decide if it's a rod for you.
