After being in the Mid-West for the past several months it is nice to be back on my home waters of the Delta. During my last six times out I have covered from B&W to West of Big Break to near downtown Stockton to Snodgrass and towards Tracy. Boy, it is a bunch HOTTER here than the Green Bay area... HA! The Stripers have been running mostly in the 9 to 15 inch range. I have been seeing MANY schools of these new babies chasing bait. Nice for the future! The LMB's have been producing numbers of 14 to 25 each time I have been out. I have not boated any notable size LMB's. My brother in law Larry, informed me that smaller flies were producing the best, so, I tyed up several #10 - TMC 8089 Clousers, Fake Fur Char/White. Smaller is working.. LMB's are most active early in the day. Bob HAWG Sliders / poppers with weed guards worked in next to the shore have been the ticket. More muted colors have been getting the nod. The attached photos will provide and expanded view of what has been happening... The last photo was taken near Green Bay...
