BFFIA Proposed Fishing Regs

I am being informed that the new fishing regulations proposed by the BFFIA are actually being implemented in 2017.  These regs have been bantered about since they started and most people feel they are seriously harmful to the future of fishing in the Bahamas.  I certainly do.  These regs were supposedly "tagged" on to another existing piece of legislation and slid through without a vote of parliament.
I for one feel that if these regs are to be adopted, let them be considered "experimental" for a period of five years.  This way the decline in tourism and loss of tourism dollars can be measured.
Furthermore, these experimental regs should only be applied to Andros and Abaco for the next five years.  That's where these regs came from so let them be the first in the eye of the storm they are creating.
If anyone out there feels as I do about this situation you can email the following people in Nassau regarding your concerns.
