Regarding tripling the T20 - it might actually slow the sink rate!!
because although you will have tripled the weight in that section, depending
on how you bind it together, it will have a bigger volume and
therefore smaller density. (density is weight per volume).

For fast sinking, you are after a greater density - lots of weight
AND little volume, little surface area.

If you are willing to triple T20, you might instead be better off sticking
a big tungsten bullet weight on the leader butt...
