On a 9 wt I'd prefer 30 feet of T11, giving a grain weight of 330, which is equivalent to uplined by 2 weights. That'll go down pretty quickly even though lighter than T14 per foot - it's thinner diameter than T14 so still has an excellent sink rate.
If you're still not getting down fast enough use a weighted fly such as a Clouser or Anchovy Bomb.
