I hear to often the reports of a days fishing measured in numbers. It goes something like, " ten shots, four eats, two jumped and one caught"! Who cares! Your post is refreshing.

The last chapter in my book, High Rollers, reflects on times spent with my kids who aren't kids anymore. We still steal time fishing together but their lives are busy now and the trips are understandably few and far between.

The time you and Kyle have invested, both on the water and the field will pay huge dividends in the long run. My dad is 94. He took me hunting and fishing when I was a kid at every opportunity. We talk numerous times each week and most of our conversations reflect on the times we spent fishing or hunting.

Thanks for the report.
