I would go along with the referral to Richards. Prey and the Backcountry Flyfising in Salt Water are two excellent resources. The use of latex is documented in 'Prey'. Perhaps of even greater use is in tail construction for large flies, such as Mullet. Good starting point. There is a gent just off I-45 Near Tiki Island, Connie Mack Moran. He has a website and some good ideas, using glass and foam. He also uses Women's wig(Fall) hair for tying patterns. I purchased several colors and use it to this day(along with paint brush bristle, etc(a la Richards and oh heavens, the tyer in Colorado whose tailing material for mayflies is not sold most places. Z-Lon is another of his materials... Betts.
