I believe that my Sonic Pro Zip waders are on season three (or four?). I got mine when they were originally released. They have well over 150 days fishing. I have humped rocks, gone through brush, crossed rivers, kicked lakes, jumped in and out of boats. So far, so good.
As for waterproofness, they have not leaked. I would rank it as high as other high end non-Gore membrane waders.
As for breathability, it isn't Gore. I experience some "sweating" on my base or mid layers. I won't notice that until I pull my waders. I don't mind it, but others may.
I wear the size medium. It comes with a size 8-10 footie. It's not as shaped as a Simms footie, so its kind of roomy. I would call the fit average for a medium. I have a 34" waist and 33" inseam. I can use a baselayer and fleece midlayer without any problems.
If you are looking for an affordable option, you may want to look at a pair of Sonic Pros.
