Delta This Afternoon

I hit the water around 2:30 p.m. to catch the last of the incoming and first of the fall. I headed south down Holland and the water was in great shape, clear and 51 degrees.

I didn't find a lot of fish but I did run into a couple of teeners. I hooked a really nice fish but dropped it; before I could open my mouth to whine about it another ate the fly on the sink. I got that one and it boga`d at 14 pounds. Very nice fish that pulled like made. Of course it's not going to look that big because of the way I had to photograph it but it did pull the scale to 14.

I got another 4 or 5 but they were all small. A couple of LMB ate the Whistler too. Same one I fished last time.

It was overcast with a bit of sun breaking through once in awhile, warm and windless. It was a very pleasant and productive few hours on the delta.

I'll hit it again tomorrow and head home Thursday so I can spend Valentines Day with Cindy.
