Most of my Keys is guided only one trip per year DIY Grassy Key and those others are in the KW venue. My observations are...the professional skiffs no bow mounted but there is a trend toward the twin trim tab electrics. Reasons usually are shoulder preservation and positioning in all conditions. Two of my guides thirty something eschew them as well as nets. One late 40ies has twin trim tab electrics and has for five seasons. My observations suggest to me that use of twin trim tab electrics by an experienced guide does not have a negative impact upon in range fish ability for the slam fish. But his use of electrics is simultaneous with his poll use. I'm goin out on a limb here and say if I booked three days of KW Permit fishing in prime time BUT there was going to be 20 kt wind all three and gusts to 25 for all those days...I'd take twin electrics because there are no restrictions for positioning...not significant in 5-15 gusts 20 thus either or
