I like the moon. It dependably rotates around the earth. I can nearly always count on it to be there on schedule. It produces a beautiful yet sometimes eerie light during the night time when I expect it to be dark. It produces a gravitational pull that helps make the big waters slosh back and forth in what we call tides and that constant ebb and flow of water is very important to many ecosystems. My wife along with many other women consider it romantic and it has helped many a young lad get lucky. It is a vital component of many good stories involving werewolves and vampires and headless horseman and space travelers and conspiracy theorists. I'd miss the moon if it suddenly disappeared. I don't know what does to the fishing.
