Actually, with typically colder weather and water, fishing during mid day will permit slow fish metabolism to increase making catching them more likely. Fish beaches yes, but try to find secluded or better yet, empty beaches after the sun has fully risen and penetrated the shore. The snook will often be in the beach wash on days like this or sitting very close to shore.

Stay back from the beach and watch for tourists. It will be tough to find uncrowded beaches at that time of year, hence why I travel there in July.

Also, canal fishing could be quite good. With dark bottoms, the canals usually stay warmer and warm faster, important in the winter when cold fronts can shut everything down or even kill them as in 2010.
