Sitka Silvers

Just got back from four days of fishing out of Sitka Alaska. The small rivers in the area get a late run of Silvers and it's a blast hiking up from te river mouths to fish these crystal clear streams. We flew into Sitka on Sunday Sept. 29 and were met by Tad Kisaka who has been guiding in the area for seven years. We stayed in town at Fishermen's Quay and Tad picked us up each morning for the short ride to his boat. The trips to the river mouths ranged from 15 minute to 1 hour runs, made comfortable by the enclosed cabin and flat seas. The rivers were choked with Pink salmon with fresh Silvers coming in with each tide. All in all a great trip with lots of fish caught and some nice big silvers to stretch our lines. Relatively reasonable at just $2350 for 4 days of fishing. Here's a few pics to help tell the story.
