LC-13 and T-14 are the same diameter so the drift-and-sink rate is almost identical. It's the shooting line that will have the greatest influence. Mono will not belly as badly as a coated shooting line will - say one of .030 diameter. If you really need to cut through currents, use a mono shooting line of 30-pound or less.

For most moderate flows I have no problem getting down below 15 or so feet with a coated shooting line of .030 diameter. I use a RIO Outbound Custom Cut T-14 for 99 percent of my deep-water fly-fishing; and I catch more than my share of the fish.
