Homedepot has a superhydrophobic coating put out by Rustoleum under the name Neverwet that comes in a couple of spray cans for $19. Stop by your neighborhood HD and check out the video ad they have on continuous loop. One of the scenes shows coating an IPhone and then having it run while submerged in a bucket of water. It looks like some pretty awesome stuff.

I'm positive we can come up with some excellent uses in fishing... or just being around water in general. My first thought was in making the ultimate indicator (but I would never publicly admit to using indicators)... Oh, I think I just did. My second thought, while not for fishing, was on wooden decks that get super slimy and slippery during the wet season.
