This rod handles lines from 300 to 400gn very well. The line you have may not load the rod well until you have a fair amount outside the tip.

For a floating line (mainly from a kayak), I use an 8wt or 9wt Royal Wulff Ambush line/head (depending on the fly I'm throwing). (They are 290gn and a 350gn lines respectively.)

For an intermediate, I use an 8wt Rio Outbound Short most of the time. I haven't bought a 9wt OBS yet.

For sinking line, I use 300 to 350gn of tungsten line or a trimmed 450gn Teeny (trimmed for weight and a shorter head.)

Like others have said though - you already have a line: try it and see what happens!
