|Hi Guys --|
Here's a tweak on a giant Lefty's Deceiver. In order to get a little density and dimension along the top of the fly, it uses v-ties of SF Flash Blend/Slinky Fiber, whereas the belly is just successively shorter throats of bucktail. Each of these flies is in the 9 plus inch range, on 6/0 Gami SL12s, but they're not very heavy. The idea is that the slight thickness on top, along with the sparseness in the belly, will help it track well and imitate the profiles of our big baits, like bunker and herring, which have some shoulders but narrower guts. We shall see .... Hope everyone's having a nice summer.
