Bob Laskodi and I finally connected for a day on the Forebay. Bob picked me up this morning at 9:a.m. and we were on the water by 10. It was beautiful with very light breezes - perfect!

We started out by the Tower Islands and the channel. I was fishing A RIO Outbound Custom Cut T-14 head, 28-feet and a small FT Clouser, size 1 white/yellow/brown. It was the fly that worked for me and I stuck with it until we bagged it around 2:30 p.m. Bob wasn't doing too well with his fly so he borrowed one of mine and started nailing fish right away. It also helped when he switched from a T-8 head to a T-11 sink rate. I think the T-14 is best for the water depth we were working.

We found more fish working the weed edges along the channel on the Mederios flats working about 12 feet of water, pulling the flies up hill.

It was a fun time and I really enjoyed fishing with Bob and I look forward to sharing a boat with him often. Today he shared his very nice skiff with me.

When we finally bagged it we had landed nearly 90 fish but only about 4 of them were legal size - the rest were dinks. Well it was about the grab and we did get lots of them.

Thanks for a fabulous day Bob.
