Drove from Creede, CO to Taos through thunder storms that covered the road with standing water and enough hail to cover the ground to think it snowed. Temps dropped from the mid 80's to 54 under the deluge. Monsoon season has arrived to the Southwest. The drive west from Flagstaff, we encountered more thunderheads and rain across the desert on interstate 40 clear to Kingman except the temps were close to mid 90's. Driving west the temp jumped to 104 across the Mohave Desert when we cleared the weather. Thank god for AC and an open highway- average speed 85 across the desert. Thousand Oaks tonight the temp dropped to low 60's. Gotta love the marine influence on temps closer to the coast.

Still have fond memories of the cooperative browns and rainbow trout near the headwaters of the Rio Grande and not an another angler in sight. Sorry, no photos.
