Flat calm sun-up and 1 hour before sundown to down look for rollers also high noon when heat forces them to use airbladder...Johnston and Riding Keys the deeper channels about these for a start...40-80 lbs...also 25-40 when rolling in the early mornings mid to late july they hit on the surface cast to where you think they went. You are in back country paradise...right tide low wind early morning you might see 10-20 Permit tails on the outside flats from the Contents to the Bay Keys of Key West. If you can stand the heat from 6am to 11am that's where I'd be if I had Cudjoe and the Bird...but you must suffer the learning curve of place, tide, time and wind. July is slam time in way lower Keys
