Aloha Ya'll!
My son Captain Joaquin has really impressed me over the last two weeks. He did 8 days so far guiding, mostly half day trips, with at least one bonefish landed per trip. Only one day was fishless, and his client hooked 11 that day! All were huge and either broke off or cut off. He has had a few double figure fish, and he seems to have the lairs of the really big bonefish dialed in. Mostly he has been using our new boat, a Boston whaler sport 130, to access off shore flats, but some monsters were taken along the south shore spots around Hawaii Kai to Diamond Head area.
He ties all his own flies, which usually outfish mine, but I know he likes that EP fiber stuff a lot.
His new website is and his facebook page is BONEFISH HONOLULU , with many recent photos, and you can call him direct at 808 291 8131. We still give advice freely on DIY fishing, or if you book a half day, he can show you many spots you can fish on your own. I will attempt to attach a few photos here.
Tightlines, Louie !
