Situation: 6/19/13 - Cape Cod beach- big schools of small bait next to shore - stripers cruising parallel to shore 30' out in 4' of water
First cast with 2 1/2" chartreuse & white clouser - two stripers charge the fly. One 28 inch fish wins the race, landed and released. Jubilation. Next three hours 20 or more stripers sighted and carefully cast to. Most ignored the fly, the others rejected it. Despair.
Is there an explanation, or better yet a solution, for this frustrating situation? |
