I don't use any foam that is not fairly soft. It is a little easier on your motor cowling and your melon when the wind is up. I use Evazote foam that Lee Haskin turned me onto years ago. You can get many colors, thicknesses and textures. The stuff is pliable enough to lash down on a hook shank and yet tough enough to handle multiple fish mauling's.

I use some premade popper bodies that I get from Umpqua that I modify with a dremel tool because I am either too restricted on time and or too lazy to carve my own.

Almost all of my favorite LMB poppers are now in production at Umpqua and photos of most of them can be seen on their web site. They include, the pole dancer, the pucker lips, the bubbleicious, The Bisha-rat and Bisha-mouse.

Hope that helps and good luck in your fishing adventures.

Cheers Chas
