Edward, this is my experience, and apologies for not being very supportive, realize i am reporting based on a one week trip. .... We sailed out of St Thomas through Moorings 3 years ago. Great time, I did do a bit of research wanting to fly fish at various places we could stop during our trip. Long story short, my gear stayed on the boat and was just a big pain to take with me and drag back home. There apparently are a few flats, small ones, tucked onto the edges of various islands, but the landscape of those islands and surrounding waters does not create the flats environment we think of as fisherfolk. I found a bigger issue was the logistics of getting to a place to fish, and not forcing a fishing specific itinerary on my travel partners killed the idea of fishing. Anegada??? Not sure I have the spelling right, is north and east of the area I guess you will be, a longish day long sail to get there, has guided flats style bonefishing. I wish I had a heavy weight spinning rod and some big stickbaits to troll behind the boat when out sailing across dark water. I bet we would have hooked something exciting once in a while.

Have a great time, I would love to go back.
