350 grains of what - intermediate; type I; type II; III; IV; 6? Are you using Teeny lines? How many inches per second does the line sink? You need to go to T-14 if you really want to get down fast. I love the RIO T-14 Outbound Custom Cut lines - 28 feet for an 8-weight rod.

Of course there's LC 13 lead core.

It's not about weight - it's about line density and diameter. The smaller the diameter and denser the line (small diameter and more tungsten in the coating) the faster it will sink. Thirty feet of T-11 will sink nearly as fast as 28 feet of T-14 because the T-11 is smaller in diameter.

In still water one can wait longer for the line to sink if using a slower line density (sink rate). If you know all this, I apologize. Lot's of folks are really confused about sinking lines.
