Glen the bridge to Windemere Island is private and There is always a security guard there. If you can get your hands on a kayak then you could put in at the bridge and kayak south and there are some good flats there. There used to be a place in palmetto pint that rented kayaks. They do get fished however by guides and homeowners on Windermere island.
There are a bunch of gas stations on Eleuthera, but it is good to always have at least half a tank.
The tides around the Deepcreek and cape Eleuthera area are quite a bit off from the published tides. Take notice of the tidal stage when you fish it and extrapolate from there for future days.
Not sure about the Eleuthera institute, but its likely open.
Go to the fish fry in governors harbor on Friday night.
There are bones along many of the beaches. On both coasts.
Have a great trip and good luck!
Be sure to pst a report when you get back.
