The majority of Andy's info is nothing new. Wasn't there a long article in FFSW about 4 years ago on fishing worms, specifically the Gordon's stiff worm? I think the author described a one handed strip technique he used because he didnt like the double hand retrieve. Moreover, there have been a couple tarpon videos on youtube and vimeo the past years that feature quite a bit of double hand stripping with worm flies. What I found most informative from Andy's interview was fly placement, i.e. casting well past the fish's track and working the worm fly into the path as opposed to letting the fish swim up on a somewhat motionless fly in its path.

In my opinion, the only time a guide is allowed to be grumpy about information sharing is if you give up a spot or fly that he showed you - netiher of which Andy did. As for behavior on the water, I try very hard to follow Bill Bishop's advice in his book regarding yelling at other boaters/fishermen on the water. Generally not worth it, and much more can be accomplished by being nice and chill about it.....Except for jet skiers. No quarter will be given!!!
