Hey Jim,

It's all cool; lot's of right ways to do things. I get it about the two-hand, over-head cast and longer, smoother sailing time with a longer head. I just don't want to deal with the longer heads - even with a two-hander. That's why the Skagit short lines. I'll cut back 10-feet to add ten feet of sink tip. I still stay within 30 or so feet of head.

The longer heads and overhead casts have to be easier to handle with a two-hander - so long as you have back-cast room...

I like the changeable tip concept so you can put a sink-tip on or put back the original floating tip.
