|I too find a lot of similarities but give a slight edge on the fight to the red corner, saltwater fight and stamina, I suppose but with fish ranging as big as 30 lbs plus for both my red and gold corner --the fight was more than enough!! The edge goes to Carp for their wariness and lock jaws at times, and for them to demand a near perfect presentation when sight fishing. As far as eating both can be delicious but you have to know what you are doing. My daughter's canned carp is a near match for canned tuna fish.|
As far as range it's the gold corner, hands down as they are everywhere while the Reds are a coastal fish for the most part ranging from NJ to Texas. All in all I love them both and fish for them when and where ever I get the chance.
