Very nicely put Steve. I admittedly never really liked your old Airflo line because they tended to have a lot of memory. Back in 2008, I received a few lines to test for bonefishing and I was pretty happy with them. They did really shoot well and the core was stiff enough (although still too supple for my taste) for Florida. The polyurethane out-core really gives the caster a different feel for the line.

As for the ridge, I never used one. Heck, I still look on Ebay for the old SA yellow Mastery bonefish taper that I like very much. I actually quite like the ribs on the line when I cast. The new textured SW lines from SA make that sound too and I like them too. I am not sure if the audible sound when the line gets through the guide help my timing but I surely like it.

I have in project to take pictures of the textured line to see how dirty it has become (with my microscope).

Best Steve!
