What a pig! Five years ago while in Cancun for my 20th anniversery I charted a 35 ft. boat to take my wife and me off shore. I spent the night before switching between Mexican beer, red wine and tequila. Seas were way too rough so my wife stayed on shore. After catching a bunch of blue runners for bait we headed 30 miles off shore. I have had better boat rides in my life. After the 2 1/2 hour ride I dropped a blue runner down about 400 feet. I hooked what I thought was the bottom, but was a 35 lb. amberjack. After boating the second "donkey" I was done. I yelled for the captain to let everyone fish (a crew of 3). In a little over 2 hours we boated 28 amberjacks, with me winching up 8, up to 70 lbs. I slepped the entire ride back to the marina. The next day I went down to Ascencion Bay for bonefish. I could barely raise my arms above my head, and I was sore for a week. It was a trip I'm not sure I ever want to repeat.
