I doubt that.... although a fish is not necessarily "killed" for a record if the angler assumes the fish is not record worthy once boat-side, the tackle and efforts used to subdue the creature to get it to the side of the boat are in many cases going to cause a mortally regardless of whether the fish is actually killed in the effort to take it for recording purposes.

Record setting on 6, 8lb. etc. for huge fish inevitably adds undue stress thus likely leading to death through exhaustion or predation. This is tantamount to the lunacy occurring with the PTT in Boca Grande.
