Been to North Andros twice, once in December 2009 then in May 2011.

Even though we had one day where the weather hammered us, I would say that the fishing was better in December as was the confort level. Tons of bones throughout the creeks and bays all the way up into the Joulters. West side had numerous bones with shots at tarpon and a permit. No doctor flies for us.

Our May trip found us with good fishing in the creks and bays early in AM but then they would get too hot. The fish we got though were good grade with one at 9#. As stated prior, the doctor flies were brutal especially when wading near shore. Avoid dark clothing. The no-see-ums were around as well. The Joulters were not as affected even though we had wind blow one of our flats dry.

If I were going again it would be in the period from October to December booked aroung rising AM tides.
