NorCal Water is a farming lobby; however, they share some very important common ground with us in the environmental community. They are very vested in keeping North State water in the north rather than having it diverted south. I have approached LaMalfa on this very issue and we agree we can work in concert.
In large part they share our attitude about the delta.
Over the years I have worked closely with the Yuba County Water Agency and though we do have disagreements, by and large they are very thoughtful and even pro active when it comes to utilizing the Yuba watershed in an environmentally sustainable way. They are a very solid, honest, and good group of people.
