I second a float on the Yakima. You are an hour and a half out of Seattle and in the rain shadow of the Cascades. A very different view of Washington if you haven't experienced it.

There are also a growing number of folks fishing puget sound for sea-run cutthroat. It's on my to-do list when I am up there and it seems a bit like our surf fishing community in norcal. Nice people, and open to show an out of towner the ropes or at least point them in the right direction.

There is a good message board or two up there, just can't remember them off the top of my head... Google will know!
