Well, Phil, it just proves again, you don't want to get caught in the proverbial "box"... I've got plenty of other tarpon flies you may not "expect", many of which helped me win a couple of tarpon tourneys.

Fact is, most of "today's" flies are just variations of older styles tied with modern materials. Baitfish patterns were used quite successfully in the 80s and 90s.

Here's a shot on some of my favorite tarpon flies which I used more than two decades ago.
